3 questions! Which backup software do you use? Do you know which is the best? Is there any open source?

For Windows machines I always use the NTbackup program from Start/Accessories/tools. I hate to admit it, but for any windows system Microsoft have really got this right and simple to use. If you use Unix based systems like Mac or Linux the inbuilt TAR (for Tape ARchive) is inbuilt, but for simplicity you really need to look for a GUI front end to it. Or use the ARK archiving program.
